Dragged myself into the cold, and wet to grab photos and drown myself in the atmosphere. Drowning, is about right my hand shook so badly that a lot of my photos are pretty shaky.
The crowd is thinner than previous years, and I parked myself at Martin Place for the Sunset service. In 2005 I went to the 8.30am service, in 2006 I went to Hyde Park, not sure where I’ll go next year maybe I’ll finally brave the Dawn service.

And you probably did well to avoid the dawn service this year – apparently it was pouring rain. 😦 Well, not that it was dry the rest of the day, but it’s got to be worse being raiuned on at 5am…
Thank you! 🙂 It was the best of a lousy lot, and I was hoping that the downpour will add to some atmosphere, but wasn’t brave enough to weather it.
Maybe next year I’ll join you. I’d like to attend a dawn service.
