Katsura

Caught up with monkeydan, Evilhayama and Pirochan last night at Katsura around the corner. For some reason I thought we were going to Koume, but all is well and the complimentary bottle of sake definitely went down a treat.

Katsura’s definitely is one of the more stylish looking Japanese eatery gracing Millitary Road with a reasonable priced menu to match. We were in the “Hall” side as opposed to the “BBQ”, which apparently allows you to play with fire.

For starters we sampled the gorgeous looking Tuna Tataki, Beef Tataki, Edamame and Yakitori.

Their main consisted of a whole lot of sea food, though most of them seemed to be in the fried variety e.g. Barramundi Yaki, Kingfish Yaki etc. Rather wished that I ordered the soft shell crab instead of my Barramundi, but that’s definitely a reason to come back for another day.

It’s rather disappointing that they only have gelato for their dessert, but there’s a reason why Maisy’s for the sweet stuff (even if they did run out of 3 of the 4 dessert we ordered).
